Our new Crisis Center Teen Board will be composed of passionate middle and high school students who want to be a part of the Crisis Center and help inform the vision of our work with youth populations. Teen Board members will not only gain valuable experience to add to their resumes and important community connections; this is an opportunity for passionate young people who want to forge connections with other students in the area, gain confidence, engage with local nonprofits, and develop leadership skills. Teen Board members will form powerful, sustaining connections with each other and their diverse community.
Our students around us are currently struggling with depression, social challenges, low motivation, and loneliness. The Teen Board will help bridge the gap between the issues our youth face and connect them to support. Our Youth Talk Line offers incredible services to our youth, and the Teen Board will help raise awareness about this program in their schools and communities.
